Cecil Peak Elopement

You can’t imagine a more incredible day for an elopement. Starting the day with a sunrise heli flight with Heliworks, soaring above the stunning, wintery landscapes of Queenstown, NZ after the first big snowfall of the winter.

This vow renewal elopement on Cecil Peak was nothing short of magical. As the sun began to rise, this beautiful couple from South Africa, who had recently moved to New Zealand, renewed their vows in a setting that felt like a dream. Fresh snow blanketed the peaks, creating a pristine, white wonderland, while clouds gracefully built up around us, adding to the ethereal atmosphere.

From the Cecil Peak, we were treated to breathtaking views of Queenstown, the shimmering waters of Lake Wakatipu, and the majestic Remarkables in the distance. The bride was dressed beautifully in a gown from Nemo Bridal, and the ceremony, led by celebrant Sarah Noble, was a touching tribute to their new life together in New Zealand.

After their amazing heli adventure we jumped in the car and drove to a hidden gem for photos in Queenstown.
Lake Johnson is located just behind Frankton and hosts some amazing tussock hills, views looking towards Coronet Peak and The Remarkables, and some lively colours that reflect off the lake and sometimes a few wandering sheep and goats. What an epic location to pop some celebratory Central Otago bubbles to celebrate their vow renewal elopement!
